Mission Statment:

The Houston Institute of Astrology (HIA) is dedicated to the finest quality of education in Astrology and related fields of study, and to increased public awareness of and respect for the value of astrology as a tool for personal insight as well as the understanding of cosmic influences on Planet Earth. Toward that end, HIA offers a two-year course of study which may culminate in certification for the aspiring student, hosts nationally and internationally known astrologers as visiting faculty, and serves as a networker for qualified practitioners and teachers of astrology and related fields.

     Kimberly McSherry has been a student of astrology since 1970 and a teacher / practitioner of this art-science since 1976. Kimberly holds a B.S. in Education (English and Psychology majors) from Kent State University, an MA in Humanities from The State University of New York at Buffalo, and an M.Ed.Psychology from The University of Houston. She is also a certified Gestalt Therapist.

    Her nontraditional education includes intense study in the fields of Jungian Psychology, Comparative Religions, especially Native American Spirituality, World Mythologies, Archaeology and Anthropology, and various mystical teachings of antiquity.

    Co-founder of HIA in 1980, Kimberly is a professional educator who has served on the faculty of many national and international astrological conferences (AFAN, NORWAC, NCGR), a professional therapist who combines astrology with traditional psychological practices in her work with individuals, a published writer, and a professional astrologer with a thriving astrological consulting practice in Houston, Texas, where she currently resides.

Astrological Consultations With Kim McSherry.... Kimberly McSherry offers individual astrological consultations. For those who are interested, you can e-mail Kim for the necessary information, including a schedule of days and times available. Her focus is spiritual / psychological insight, life path direction,focused issue resolution, and relationship analysis. Transits and progressions are considered in all sessions.
