Mercury 

Mercury -- The Archetype of "The Thinker or Divine Messenger", ruler of the sign Gemini and traditionally, Virgo. Mercury symbolizes the mental processes unique to each individual. These include our relationship with information (how we process and come to understand data or stimuli of both internal and external origin), communication (how we "link" with others and ourselves in order to share information), learning (our capacity to absorb and assimilate / integrate stimuli), and perception (our "automatic" patterns of thought and "habitual" mental processes). Mercury relates to our urge to mentally understand and be understood in our lives, and to our capacity to "make sense" of the world and its ever shifting, realigning variables.
